Function
1. Detoxification effect
1). Heavy metal detoxification:
The two active thiol groups in the DMSA molecule can capture the metals that have been bound to the enzyme system in the tissue, forming a stable water-soluble chelate that is excreted in the urine, restoring the activity of the enzyme containing thiol groups and relieving the symptoms of poisoning caused by heavy metals. It has a good effect on lead poisoning and can also form chelates with mercury, arsenic, nickel, copper, etc., which are used to treat these metal poisonings.
2). Radioactive diagnostic drugs:
99mTc(V)-DMSA injection prepared with DMSA is a radioactive diagnostic drug, mainly used for soft tissue tumor imaging and renal cortex imaging, and used to observe the morphology, size, location and function of renal perfusion.
2. Other effects
1). Protect the liver:
